“I feel that in order for a person to live a well balanced and happy life, volunteering must be part of their regular activities”
*When I decided to deliver groceries to clients of the Mobile Pantry after I retired in January 2005, I thought that it would be nice for me to give something back to the community. I have gained a deep appreciation and admiration for many of the clients that I serve who, in spite of their debilitating illnesses and financial struggles, maintain a cheerful demeanor and positive attitude. I only have to be around them to realize that wealth and material goods are not important in order to live a happy life
*Shirley Papp and her husband, Chip volunteer regularly for the Mobile Pantry Program that delivers groceries to an average of 300 homebound residents in greater Lowell each month.
